CTR insertion is a relatively blind procedure as it is hidden by the iris. Complications include entrapment, entanglement or misdirection into the wrong location. This new CTR is the first of its kind to offer a visible tracer identifying the location of the leading eyelet and also serves as an indicator of an obstruction. It is the first steerable CTR to allow navigation around an obstruction. It is also the first retrievable CTR if misdirected into the vitreous or sulcus.
This film was submitted to the 37th Annual ASCRS Film Festival within the 2019 ASCRS ASOA Annual Meeting.
