Description
This video shows an innovative technique using 30 gauge needle to create a buried passage, hiding prolene 10-0 suture from UV exposure with minimal damage to scleral tissue. No need for flap creation makes this a good choice either for using in scleral fixation or even on hashtag technique. The subject in this video is a 15 y.o girl, with Marfan Syndrome and BCVA of 20/400 OS. One week postop the patient showed uncorrected visual acuity of 20/40 and 1 month postop 20/20.
