Uveitic cataracts are synonymous with complicated cataracts. Presence of occlusio and secclusio pupillae, peripheral anterior synechae, shallow anterior chamber makes it challenging. Accurate investigations to localise uveitic pathology, arriving at proper anatomical diagnosis and adequate control of peri-operative inflammation can help in proper surgical planning in these challenging situations.
