This movie highlights the use of pars plana instrumentation for an anterior segment surgeon in complex situations like rock hard eyeballs, posterior capsular ruptures and phacomorphic glaucomas. The use of chandelier retro-illumination to enhance visualisation through dense corneal opacities will be described. This posterior segment route can act as the third hand for the anterior segment surgeon.
