This course will provide an update of the options for automated anterior capsulotomies. Surgical videos and didactic lectures will illustrate the advantages and disadvantages of the various automated capsulotomy options. Automated capsulotomies have been shown to be more resistant to tearing than manual and femto capsulotomies. The recently approved category III CPT code for intraoperative visual axis alignment will be discussed.
