Pre-existing posterior capsular dehiscence is an uncommon occurrence in developmental pediatric cataract. We demonstrate the pre-operative planning and surgical technique for the successful in-the-bag implantation of intraocular lens in such cases. We also report our experience of managing 7 such eyes including pre-operative investigations, surgical planning and precautions during surgery.
