A new technique of scleral fixation is described. The polytetrafluoroethylene fiber chain that holds the eyelet of the capsular ring or segment or intraocular lens is externalized through the sclera and conjunctiva. No additional fixation is required. This technique allows both precise adjustment of the intraocular lens and minimizing the risk of conjunctival erosion.
