Small incision cataract surgery is a technique that has proved to be equally good to phacoemulsification in terms of visual results and safety with the advantage of a lower cost. Nevertheless, a sucessful wound construction also requires training in order to obtain a self-sealing incision. The use of intraoperative OCT is a useful tool to optimize the training in the incision building.
