A modified trabeculectomy procedure was developed, where polypropylene 6/00 is used with the objective of acting as a spacer at the level of the scleral bed and the subconjunctival bleb. The technique is based on passing a suture and forming the letter omega.The sutures pass through the scleral bed under the scleral flap."
