Description
During secondary scleral IOL fixation techniques (e.g. Yamane or Glued), there is a concern of the haptics slipping out of the scleral groove or forceps. Haptics are can be damaged from forceful grasping to prevent retracting back into the eye. This new technique minimizes the necessity to hold the externalized haptic by creating a strategically placed hitch around the optic to control the IOL.
